ABOUT GLEN
Glen is Chief Executive Officer of Cutrona Architecture PLLC, an award winning architectural firm engaged in the practice of architecture, interior design, space planning and fixture appraisals. He is also the author of the forthcoming book titled Architecture and Music – Mirrored Beauty.
The firm was established in 1992 with the commitment to provide clients with the highest level design and customer service. Thirty plus years later, with the accomplishment of many successful projects, the firm has cemented a reputation for consistent design excellence.
The expertise and knowledge of the firm encompass scopes of work varying from new construction, additions, alterations, interior architecture and historical restoration including residential, commercial, retail, corporate, manufacturing, industrial, religious and medical.
Our corporate office, designed by the firm, is constructed as a state of the art sustainable building which includes a residential component for rentals.
Our headquarters provides an excellent work environment and is a fine example of integrating sustainable features while at the same time postured to support our growing staff. It stands as a true representation of our design prowess
The firm practices regionally. Glen is licensed in New York and New Jersey and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registrations Boards. He has served as past president of the American Institute of Architects, Brooklyn chapter and as a Chairman of the Board of the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce.
Curricula Vitae
Glen V. Cutrona, A.I.A. received his Bachelor's of Science degree from New York Institute of Technology at Old Westbury, New York. He is a licensed Architect in New York and New Jersey, a member of the American Institute of Architects and certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
Mr. Cutrona has over 40 years of experience within the architectural community, working for major architectural/engineering firms as a project manager and as a principal. Mr. Cutrona’s responsibilities have included all phases of the architectural design process, with an emphasis on programming, design development, contract documents, bid negotiations, construction cost estimating and construction administration. Representative assignments include services for public agencies, municipalities, corporations, private entities, and governmental agencies. He has managed and supervised project teams from planning through construction on many projects and has acted as liaison between various agencies and their users.
From 1980 through 1986, Mr. Cutrona was a project manager for Michael Lynn & Associates responsible for all phases of the architectural design process including programming, design development, contract documents, construction cost estimating, bid negotiations and construction administration. Additional responsibilities included client contact, presentations and selection of materials and furnishings.
In 1986,
Mr. Cutrona founded G.V. Cutrona Design, Inc. The firm specialized in new, renovation, and rehabilitation of residential and commercial buildings. The firm also designed residential, commercial, retail and corporate interiors.
In 1989,
Mr. Cutrona joined forces with John DiPietro to form Cutrona • DiPietro Architects. As a result of their diverse experience and knowledge, the firm provided clients with the highest quality service thereby assuring an aesthetically pleasing and architecturally accurate end product.
In 1992,
Mr. Cutrona established Glen V. Cutrona Associates, an award winning architectural firm which engages in the practice of architecture, interior design, and space planning. The Firm’s expertise and knowledge encompass many scopes of work varying from new construction, additions, alterations, and interior renovations including residential, retail, corporate, manufacturing, industrial, religious and medical projects. Mr. Cutrona has been qualified, his appraisal has been put into evidence and his testimony on fixture evaluation has been accepted by the Supreme Court of New York County. Mr. Cutrona is qualified as a trade fixture expert in New York County.
